WHAT IS LIP BLUSH & HOW DOES IT WORK?

Lips are a main focal point; just like eyebrows of course! Very few people have perfectly symmetrical lips to begin with.

As we age lips can become thinner and lose there natural luster and color.

Lip Blush Tattoos enhance the natural shape of your lips, giving them that boost of vitality and color. It is an extremely popular semi-permanent makeup treatment providing a flush of color as well as defining the contour of your lips. At BodyLab we have a wide selection of pigments available to help enhance the natural lip color as well as suit your preferences. These will help create a subtle color boost and create definition, correct medical asymmetry and even camouflage scars. The final result will resemble a subtle, matte, natural toned lipstick look.

We begin by mapping out a natural border to the lip using makeup. once we have your design approval, anaesthetic cream is applied to minimize discomfort. Selected pigments are then blended and deposited into the skin with a very fine needle via a small hand held cosmetic tattoo device.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

Lip Blush procedures take slightly longer then other treatments as the lips are more prone to swelling during the treatment. If this should occur, swelling will quickly fade and be disappear completely within three to five days. Expect the procedure to take around an hour and a half to three hours. The color density will appear stronger then you anticipated at first, but this will fade after three to four days.

A touch up is often required. We book our touchups three to six weeks from the initial appointment.

Lip Blush Tattoos are meant to be subtle. If you are looking for a solid lipstick look this is not the treatment for you. Although they can look quite solid when they are first completed, they should heal to a soft, sheer, "candy coated" tint. We love to refer to the Lip Blush style as " Candy Lips".
